That isn't all a bad thing, X5World (now Xoutpost) was first populated by a group of refugees from another forum in 2005. N54tech is a little different IMO though. E90post is one source if you want to see the history of the disputed claims by various tuners.

As a longtime member of e90post and n54tech I'm very well aware of the politics that went on - most of it behind the scenes of e90post. You will NEVER find any 'creative moderating' on n54tech unlike e90post which deletes threads and posts on a dialy basis. Members of Xoutpost can be confident that if they go to n54tech to learn more about the JBD that they will find 100% accurate & truthful information from Terry and all its other members. As to this discussion; there's a lot of blanket statements here. Which, if I didn't know the JBD better, I would agree with. I've been using tunes from BMS in my cars for almost 4 years now. (JB2, JB3 and now the JB4) I personally know a happy & well informed JBD user. There is no secret how any of BMS's tunes operate. Its all on the forum. They are designed be safe and fun. To anybody considering BMS products... Do some research and ask some questions on n54tech. I am positive you will get informative and honest answers to all your questions from Terry and all the other members. |

I brought it up in response to a link that provided 22 pages of glowing product testimonial. That linked site appears to be owned and operated by the vendor under discussion. It is like watching an infomercial and comparing it to an independent news program. To me, it is not an independent source. It does have some good information on it. And I haven't heard that there have been problems with the JBD. There are members here who are happy with them.

BINGO ! That's what my point was when I asked to have the tuners "ranked". I am also well aware of what has happened at E90post. If you want to talk Procede, you will be allowed to discuss it all day long. I have seen many threads get locked or deleted because we all know who is funding the site. Research is important. There have been some ridiculous comments made in this thread. For those that are in the market for this type of an upgrade, just poke around the internet.

And I won't rank them. I have some opinions on the three players I mentioned, which you apparently agreed with. The problem for any consumer trying to evalate these and other tunes are that the sites have a lot of fanboys, many interested in validating their own purchase. There is no independent testing or comparison. There is also a lot of misinformation on whether or not tunes have the ability to impact warranty claims.

Otherwise it looks like youre just saying crap blindly. If you were wanting a x5 specific 2010 flash. Ess has a flash at home unit for $1200. |

All of VAG motors are now using the Bosch anti-tuning ECU's, BMW are not far behind. |

Before Christmas I had a customers 2010 BMW 320d (E90) which had anti-tuning software and could only be bench-flashed. I will get a list of BMW cars and post them up which is which. EDC17 does not mean it is anti-tuning. Some BMWs began using EDC17 in 2006 and they were fine to flash. It is the newer type Bosch EDC17 anti-tuning ones you cannot do. I don't know why people on here are so arrogant! I am sharing my first hand experience and yes I am aware some BMW ecu's are still not using anti-tuning but they are all going that way. Probably over the next year or two they will all be like that. Will that stop tuning them? Never
