"d" rear badge added to '11 X5 35d

Ok.....I know most people like to "de-badge" their BMWs (especially Europeans).

I think badging is like silver vs. black kidney grills or silver alloy wheels vs. black wheels....some of us like them, some of us don't!

The X5 4.8i and 5.0i have cool, squared exhaust pipes. The X5 M has hot, quad exhaust pipes. The 3.5i and 35d do not have really anything that distinguishes themselves as different.

I LOVE my clean, modern diesel engine...I have been wanting a new, advanced Diesel for years & years (took California a long time to allow us to have one!).

So, I badged my X5 as an X5d. It's my version of a "hybrid' badge!

The dealer does not sell, nor can they order the "d" badge solo. I either had to buy an xdrive 35d or 335d badge...but they are $99.00 + tax! That's insane! I found a 3.0d badge on eBay in the UK, paid about $20 USD.

I know it's personal, but I really like the way it looks. It makes me feel my 35d is extra special
