I am Diesel OCD too Jen...in addition to my new "d" rear badge, I also ordered a CA personalized Diesel license plate! So haters....yes, I will remove the Bob Smith dealership plate, once I get real CA plates

Yeah Jen, It is really easy to tell an X5 M or 50i or 4.8i, since the tailpipes are so distinct...but the 35i and 35d are the same. I really like having a little something that makes mine unique.

And like I said, I think of it as my own personal "hybrid" badge. Considering the BMW 35d engine has won MANY international awards for green technology and innovations...I am proud to wear the "d" badge. And I think it looks cool.

I prefer the de-badge look too...however, you did a very tasteful job with that addition. Enjoy your X.

I don't know which one to try and get...you must submit 3 different configurations just in case the one you want is taken. Is 'X5DSL' an infringement on BMW????

NO infringement!! As long as there are no "bad" words or offensive meanings, it is fine!

I ordered:

X DIESEL

I called DMV, and the order was approved and is "In Process". Sadly, with the economic condition in CA, personalized plates (and all DMV transactions) are very behind. I have had my X5 2 months now, and still no license plates).

They told me about 6+ months to get my X DIESEL personalized plates!

Very nice!

You can do so much more with 7 letters. I know CA and NY have 7, yet we only have 6 in MA, and you can't start with a number......

Only 6? I thought all 50 states were the same? Odd! Yeah, the extra digit for sure helps. And thanks
