My sales advisor asked me to set aside a few hours, and not to plan on rushing out. He preferred to reschedule vs rush it. That is the kind of dealer you want to work with.

Like others, take your time. Don't rush anything. Also, theres a SIB about DEF fluids not being topped off at delivery. So make sure they have it topped off, my DEF went low at 4k, but it was taken care of by the dealer. Some people aren't so lucky have have to pay for it to be topped off. Or you can do it yourself..but thats another issue.

SIB is BMWspeak for TSB, Technical Service Bulletin. TSB is more commonly used in the industry. An SIB/TSB is simply a service document which explains a problem or procedure for the service people regarding an issue or problem which has been found. Think of it as simply a formal letter for service people to help them address problems or concerns regarding a vehicle.

DEF is Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Obviously only applies to Diesel BMWs.

Congrats

Take a look at the vehicle to check for no dents/scratches etc, then start the paper work.

Congrats, drive safely and enjoy in good health

Wheel Balancing -- YES! The wheel weights on our were opposite from where they needed to be on all 4 wheels

Licence Plate - If you don't want them to put in on, be firm about it or it will be done.

Satillite Radio - Force them to have it all set up and playing PRIOR to you driving off the lot (and make sure your "free" period is set for 12, not 3 months as they've been "accidently" doing.

How does the conversation go when you pick up a brand new car and say "please balance the wheels and align the car"

They say "It is done from the factory"

Then what??? On what basis do you demand they spend 2 hours on a brand new car and rebalance and realign the car without any basis?????
