One cool thing I could do today was to use the my remote app, although it only lock/unlock doors and localize the car, it remains neat
The 5 and 7 series an do much more but the only thing I'd like would be remote activation of the AC, which you can program anyway
Pretty neat that it takes about one minute between punching a command online and the car execute it

Can you discuss the app a little more? I downloaded the BMW Connected app from iTunes, but it does not have a door lock/unlock feature. It has Web radio, Twitter, Facebook, and Last Mile (find your vehicle if on foort).

Thats a different app. The one I'm talking about is "my remote BMW"...

The app you refer to is available in Europe but does not exist in the US iTunes App Store. Aren't you in Texas?

I just got the app as well, does it only work with the new 2012s with connected drive or will it work with 2011s as well?

The reason I asked is because it's asking me to enter my connected drive log in which I don't have with my 2011. I guess it will only work with the 2012. Oh well. Thanks!
