Thanks for the heads up. I found some additional info where other board members said that 43mm and 45mm are is essence the same.

I have a question about boring of the wheels and whether it really weakens the wheels or the connection of the wheels to the hubs?

I have a 2008 X5 4.8i and can get 2012 X6M wheels that have been bored out to fit the X5 at a fair price. Is there any risk in using these wheels?

Thanks

I know people who have bored wheel centers before with no issues. 1.5mm isn't all that much material so you should be fine.

Dont the X6 rears have a smaller offset already? Wouldnt this negate the need for a spacer?

What is the question that you are trying to get answered?

I had to bore out the X6 rear wheels to fit my E70 X5. There was no alternative as no hubs or adapters can make this work. I am very happy with the result.

I guess I'm curious if the already small offset of the X6 wheels plus spacers would push them out too far?

Hopefully - the 43mm length lug bolt is sufficient enough with the 15mm spacers for my X6. I'll provide feedback once I receive it and put the wheel on the X5. Thanks everyone for your help.

How did you make out with the adapters and the X6 wheels? I am thinking of a going this route too. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have posted here and in other threads. The H&R trak+ adapters do not work. I purchased them and tried them. ECS Tuning agreed they would not work for an E70 X5 and I returned them.

There is no adapter alternative at this time. You have to do wheel boring.
