Just giving this a bump.

I haven't yet seen the bmw mount available and summer is over.

Anyone have a clue when we will start seeing them at the $tealer?

Also, is anyone able to connect their ipad to the bmw stereo? My ipod connection works for the ipad to play music but not video and the cable is too damn short to reach the back. Besides, the damn center console won't close with the cable sticking out.

This fit the iPad 2 or only the original iPad?

I'm assuming the BMW mount should be for the ipad 2 given that it's being released in 2011. However, I doubt that the original ipad would have problems in it as well.

I can't seem to find the model that the OP used anymore. Is anyone using a headrest mount that they would recommend other than the BMW one?

Nextbase - iPad Active Car Mount

I was thinking about doing the iPad thing but the only reason I am put off is that i'll need a screen for each of my twin boys and there is no way to synchronize movies on both iPads. They're too small at 2.5 years for headphones.

Thanks for the link. I will check that one out.

Since I posted, I came across this brand as well. They seem to be rated fairly well.
