Not an Allen key, you'll need an inverted socket. Not sure of the size but it's one of the standard ones.

The airbag just requires two pokes by the side holes hidden under the two slits of leather and it'll pop right out. You can then pull up on the green + black clips on the back of the airbag and the wires will detach.

I'm going to poke around on the coding front when I get my x5 back home. Currently on vaca for the holidays and don't have my coding tools with me : )

Will certainly report back if I figure anything out...will also have IND take a look if I hit a wall.
