Yeah, I think if you turn off/turn on the vehicle within 20-30 minutes, your previous settings will be stored.

If it's longer than 20-30, they will go to the default. It's odd, some defaults are AUTO and others are just fan on low. Or maybe if you had a non-AUTO setting when turning off, it just goes to low fan. If you had AUTO set when turning off, it goes to AUTO?

I noticed that in hot weather (I'm in Texas) the A/C start blowing right away!

Doesn't BMW have an option like my 2011 ACURA TL, that waits until the air is cool before blasting it into your face ?

I agree. Some of us prefer to have the windows down and it is a waste to run the compressor and A/C or even the blower in this situation. It is up there with the "slam the car in park if you open the door while backing up" feature. I guess BMW never intended for folks to pull trailers and actually want to see where the back of the trailer was in relation to obstacles.

This just happened to me. I thought the car broke down! I was backing up my driveway with the door a bit open to check for anything on the bottom. Guess I forgot it open and the car would NOT move. Eventually, I figured out that the door was open...

The AC does not turn on when I start my 2010 35d.....unless it was on when I keyed off...... My fan settings stay at 2 bars.....where I left it........

Awesome! Just chalk that up to BMW saying..."GOTCHYA!"
