Random uneven idle at start

My 2012 35i has a random uneven idle when starting. You can see the tach moving up and down around 500 RPMs for around a minute and hear the engine going up and down. After a minute or so it evens out and is fine.

Our 2011 35i has never done this.

Anyone experienced this?

I have a 3.0si, but basically it's a cylinder misfire symptom.

The OP might have misfires (highly doubtful, I suspect idle air control issues, vacuum leak, maybe a lower setpoint for the idle making the 2012's idle variation more noticeable) but you just cannot make such a diagnosis based on what he posted.

Yep. All possible. I'm taking it in for the creaky seat and I'll have them check this at the same time

I was speaking from my experience and "it's" was a short for "it was" meaning I have a 3.0si and it was a cylinder misfire symptom from my experience.

And even without the explanation, the OP isn't going to take the post as a fact above everything else and shun any diagnosis or a fix from the dealer.

You were just nitpicking to cause an altercation and make yourself feel better. Surprise surprise typical ard. Sounds like a dictionary definition of a troll.

Heed my advice. Go see a shrink and take some Prozac. Keep the negativity to yourself. There's no one here who's willing to be indulgent to your childish tantrum.
