I was wondering what parts to 3M and will take your advice on the rockers and fender flares. I am also going to consider doing the front bumper and maybe the front of the hood.
I have a 2010 M and M Sport.

My suggestion so the front of the car, the bumper, fender flares and at least the front of the hood.

Absolutely do the rockers, rear fender flares and the lower half of the rear doors. You can get away just doing the lower rear corner of the rear doors. I did that at first. But it looked kind of weird.

Naz24,

Thanks!

I didn't get promoted. I finally built a garage in downtown Philly behind my brownstone house so I have a place to safely park a new car. I drove the Explorer up until now because I had to parallel park on the street and didn't want to deal with bumper dings on a new vehicle or have someone break the windows to collect loose change (this happened three times to the Explorer). I guess you can say I have been intentionally driving a PoS based on street parking issues which have now been resolved.

I stuck with the 19" wheels. The roads are terrible around here with potholes, manholes, etc so I figured the 19's might be a bit more forgiving. The 20's would look sweet though.

Thanks AwesomeM3! It is great that all he does is specialize in clear bras and is close to my house. This forum is the best!

I only had him clear bra the rockers and rear fender flares because BMW repainted them under warranty due to the stone chip issues. If I were to clear bra a brand new X5, I would do the front bumper and hood also.

I'm about to order one too... does anyone have the xDrive50i's invoice pricing? I know there are those on-line calculators but the dealer and I disagree that those are really invoice prices... I know BMW makes a spreadsheet very similar to its retail pricing with all the options etc. with just factory invoice pricing...

I used this web site and it matched the invoice exactly when my dealer showed me. BmwConfig.com | Build your own BMW

Hey thanks man... So, I used that and the invoice price that my dealer quoted is almost 1K over what that site is invoice price... I just wish there was the official in-writing from BMW posted somewhere so I can show him that. I told him what the website said and asked him to produce his invoice price list... not sure how he'll react to that.
