Quality:

OEM Wheels + Premium Wheels meets or exceed every industry standard, including TUV, DOT, ISO, VIA and JWL. In addition to quality certification, each wheels we carry endures 15 rigorous inspections prior to leaving the factory. Quality control procedures include: underwater crack testing, radial fatigue tire testing, xray evaluation, impact load testing and weight bearing analysis, to name a few. Every wheel we carry is manufactured to the same high quality standards as factory original (OEM) wheels.

In the end, yes trust is an issue to some. But it's not like it's a known fact that they're made in some back room with no QC. OEM wheel manufacturers can use the same text with no verifiable evidence either.
Interesting. Love to see an actual cert from any one of those agencies....

or are they saying 'these wheel meet these standards, but we actually haven't tested them to those standards- and haven't had the wheels tested by those agencies'. You'll also note that they use an interesting trick- they say that each wheel has 15 inspections....but then the next sentence describes what quality inspections include, BUT it is not clear if these are part of the 15 inspections or not...really, it is a paragraph of useless crap that people will read and say "Oh, at least they are saying something about quality, I guess this is good...right?".

(I am pretty sure a few of the listed tests are destructive and cannot be done on every rim!)

BMW will not ship a wheel without certs in their hands- too much to lose. Neither will HRE. Big companies have 'skin in the game'....But a fly-by-night storefront on ebay, or south LA, will rock and roll with whatever they need to say to move product.
.
But anyway, Couper's post was SPOT ON. You do not hear about major failures of these copies.

The biggest issue is the counterfeits are typically heavy as crap as it is easy to make a strong boat anchor...once you start making a light, competitive wheel, you tolerance for error and quality drops. Most people don't care about performance but NEED that 'look'. Teeth whitening and boob jobs. If you've got big rims, you've arrived.
