Here is a SINGLE website with tons of them. Diesel Performance Kits Try Google...search DEF or DPF delete. You will find many. Good enough... |

For European spec cars, this is possible for aftermarket. But US Specs have urea addative and exhaust filtration system which do not except these exhaust kits. But I think it sounds bad ass. |

And here is the picture of the Remus Diesel Sportauspuff ![]() ![]() Shocking, but it looks like a 'cat back' system- ie doesnt interfere with the SCR Catalyst system.... I can be a prick and have an attitude, and I will readily admit when I am wrong.... any exhaust legal in the US will NOT interfere with the DEF. Your blanket assertion 'changing a diesel exhaust' will interfere with the DEF -simply because there is DEF injection 'into the exhaust'- is wrong. Injection occurs in the SCR cat just behind the engine....It MAY, but that would be an extreme case, and in fact there is no such system I've seen for an X5. MOST 'exhausts' will be just the rear muffler... same as gas. A PS Sorry about the picture. Exactly, the reason you will not find a US spec X5 exhaust system, is because there is not one. The one you refer to above is for non-US spec models that DO NOT have the urea system, many X5ds here in Europe have such systems. This is exactly what I am saying, and have been. The system that bypasses the diesel particulate filter or diesel emissions filter, will be for off road use only, (by US laws in most if not all states.) Replacing the US spec X5 D with an open flow after market muffler, would throw fault codes from the sensors to the engine I am sure, (not proven though.) this is what I was saying all along...that one, the market is not there for a company to mass produce a product, and the expense of a said product with re-coding, faults and so on would be extremely expensive I am sure. |

Not good enough! When you click on the link you provided there is nothing to be found for the E70 X5. Who cares anything about Chevy, Ford, or, Dodge Diesel Pickup Trucks? If you are going to respond with an attitude to a post why don't you make sure the links you provide at least back up you're argument. Why does this have to turn into a pissi** match between you and ARD? I was hoping to learn about some options for an exhaust system for the Diesel. NOT, to read a post filled with bickering back and forth about who is right and who is not. My .02 flame away. |

I dont understand Russian but I'm pretty sure this exhaust for the X5 35d just proved everyone who said diesel would "sound like crap" wrong |

![]() That's not Russian, trust me. Sounds German. P.S. This is by far the best sounding X5 diesel. Everything was gutted though (DEF, DPF, etc). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hHmAedyWR0 |
