I tried to code a X5 with build data around Nov 2012; Daten was updated to V44, But there is no module cappl found in that car, this car does come with HUD.

I did found those settings such as MDrive, HUD_M etc in backup file, does it indicate those m_hud settings are now in other module or probably there is new module for m_hud?

That's awesome how easy it is to do these things these days.

I am going to be getting my car coded this week and just had a question about the M-HUD.

The pic shows what gear the vehicle is in in the middle. RPMs in the colored circle, speed in small numbers on the bottom right. Is that the only setting? Is it possible to show the speed in the middle of the circle and gear in the bottom right? I've gotten so used to the HUD, that I never look down to look at speed anymore and it's nice to have the big numbers staring you in the face on your windshield.

Ok, I can tell you have to have HUD to take avantage of the m-hud. Oh well.

There are other things I would love coded on my 2008 X5 4.8.

The foglights come on automatically when the headlights come on.

Question : If you code the mirrors to automatically close when the door is locked with comfort access or the keyfob. Does the mirrors then automatically open when you unlock the doors?

Anyone in or close to Western North Carolina want to help me out with the coding (help me out as in doing it for me). I will pay for the help.

Hi,
Does anyone now if i can use the cable that came with my JBD reset tool to connect to my car's OBDC ? One end it has the OBDC connector but the other end has a serial connector, similar to a monitor cable ...

You might have to ask that question on the other forum, I don't have access to a MY '12 to check

Yes, the mirrors open automatically when you unlock the door, if you folded them on lock. It is possible to code the foglights, don't know why you would want to do that though

Not sure on this one, it would have to be a custom thing, its not just a simple parameter change

Sounds like with mhud though, you get an option in idrive to turn mhud on and off, so I could have traditional speed on window and then turn on mhud on the occasions that I want it. Right?

Is this calibrated correctly for either the regular gas or diesel engine. Isn't this calibrated for the m engine only and therefore isn't this setting pointless unless you have a real m engine ?

The diesel engine only revs to approx 5000 rpm.

Its not calibrated, but you can calibrate it. I haven't done it.

Has anyone ever had problems with coding? Any features that work before but not work after coding?

I have a late January 2012 build, actually just finished on January 25th and is shipping to the dealer.

I would really like to have the mirrors close on lock, idrive disclaimer removal, trunk raise and lower with key fob.

Now, how can the mhud be calibrated?

Just ordered the cable but a little worried, seems a little hackish.
