OP...would you DIY or pay? Any idea what it takes time or $$ wise??

I'd sell your car and buy a new one. Sand beige will look worse than your tobacco at 33k miles....

(Actually I wouldn't..I ordered a sand beige 2009...and when it arrived at the dealer I turned it down.)

OP, do you even have a clue as to how many pieces are involved in such a trade and how many hours of labor to take it apart and then put it back together? and its cost? Let's just say that YOUR JAW WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP FROM THE FLOOR.

Hey, lets make this fun....three questions:

(Keep in mind that dealer, and shops, charge what $80-140 an hour?)

R&R ONE car interior:

How many hours would a dealer quote?

How long would it take someone who had never done it?

How long for someone who had done it?

My WAGs:

40
12
30

uh..yeah i got a clue, I have a 1999 e46 and have replaced all of the speakers, window regs, door locks...etc.
My boy Jason at BSW tells me that the x5 is even easier.
seats=bolts, rugs, door pannels, easy breezy. the dash might be the only PITA.
So its a bit time consuming, who cares?

Why would sand look worse than tobacco over time?
