15k on fronts. 25k on rears. Could have done better on the fronts, but too much fun accelerating in and out of corners...

Same here. At 17k (-2k on winters last year), the outside edge of the left front is shot. Too many cloverleaf off ramps taken at speed. Otherwise, I'd probably get 20k or more.

Next spring I'm shopping for 20s.

My 2011 was purchased back because of some major electrical problems. Was in the shop for over 60days. As for oil leaks. Both the 2011 and 2012 5.0 burn oil at a good clip but no leaks ever detected. I am experiencing 1qt every 2k or so and depending on your driving style you may experience as low as 1qt every 1k.

Burning oil has been a known issue. BMW tells me that it is normal. Not sure what to say. Sorry to hear that your 2011 was lemoned. At least you got 2012 now. My 2012 has been good to me so far.

I have a may 2010 build 2011 50i. I have experienced no such problems and I am 25k into her. I did have a sensor replaced in my rear brake. Lame but not a big deal to me, no cost naturally.

The car is insanely enjoyable. A much more powerful version of my last x5, which was no slouch itself Get one. Yesterday. You will not be dissatisfied. Coming from a 30 to the 50i you will be laughing at the pick up.

I don't think you need to worry about water/oil leaks until 60k+ miles.

most of the cooling system is plastic so they will need to be replaced by 100k miles for maximum reliability.
