The adapter also provides a connection to the roof mounted telephone antenna on your car for improved cellular reception. Included is the Eject Box adapter which must be used in conjunction with the adapter to install into the center console. @ECS. Your picture is an eject box -- not the snap-in adapter. I know your ad says both.
@Fastbuck. It's not a "2 second click" activity UNLESS one already has the frame installed. My X5 did not come with the frame, eject box and snap-in adapter. I spent a couple of hundred dollars for the parts and hours trying to install it (without removing the center console). Now I have an iPhone 4 and, while I spent time modifying (i.e. grinding down) my 3G snap-in adapter to fit the iPhone 4, I haven't snapped in my iPhone for about 4 months now. There's just no need for this...
