Same thing happened happened to me in '01 when I had my first X. Rear ended on the 405 in L.A., it was 3 weeks old.

not that this post isn't already stupid. let's see, are you emancipated from your parents joshleee? so you are responsible for having your personal vehicle repaired on your own? who is your insurance agent? i'd like to sell him a bridge.

did you pay cash for your new 5.0?

sorry blonboi, i, like ard, smell BS from the get go.

at least the paint scratches will blend between the two cars.

So i took the car to the dealer 30 minutes before closing so they couldn't do anything about the car but I asked for a rough estimate and he said to paint the bumper its $686 but since the cars brand new and the plastic seems to have been bent a little its best to get a new bumper for an estimated $1500. This is just an estimate, but hey forum members, aren't I suppose to get a BMW courtesy vehicle? They said I'm going to get a hertz.

OMG. What is it with these joshlees????

OP- even my 16 year old daughter would know that BMW doesn't repair your crash damage...THAT is for your insurance or better the insurance of the person that hit you.

You are precisely what a BMW dealer loves- clueless owner, doesn't know anything about any aspect of owning, repairing or moving through life- just show up at their door and say 'fix it'.... you will get the very minimum in terms of repair quality simply because you are telegraphing 'ignorant' to the people you interact with.... This dealer may have a body shop in house, but can also be an 'arrangement' with an independent shop.

Don't you understand the difference between "warranty" and "insurance"?

You know what I don't get? Why everything you post has such an attitude. I've been here since 2005 and seen plenty of people like you come and go. If you can't be nice then leave this forum

You don't get a BMW unless if there are any mechanical issue with the vehicle.

it has been my experience that you don't get a loaner unless you request one well ahead of your scheduled appointment. strolling in with a scratch and expecting a loaner is a reach IMO.

Around here, you get a loaner for maintenance/warranty fixes with 2 weeks warning if it's at the dealer you bought it at. If it's a body shop fix that wasn't their fault, you're just a regular guy off the street, no loaner. You're lucky to get a Hertz on their dime, if that's what you meant.
