LED OEM Angel Eyes

Just got finished reading a search on the "new" LED OEM angel eyes. My thought going forward is to go with the LUX H8 v3, however, I still want to look at the current OEM angel eyes that are in new cars, mine is a 2011 with an October 2010 build date and it has the H8 bulb. Reading the comments that everyone wrote, is it fair to say that the current OEM LED for the angel cannot be retrofitted?? If true than I will go with the LUX, but has anyone confirmed that the OEM LED's cannot be retrofitted through BMW (dealer)??

Thanks for the comment Phil,,,,,,,,,,,,kind of looks like I am going that route unless someone who has done it,,,or knows that it can be done. The OEM LED's are brighter than the LUX, BUT if it can't be retro,,,than it's worthless...

The Dinan tunes I've had and currently run are great. But in my applications I couldn't run just a stand alone tune. I think in most situations Dinan mods are best when done as some kind of package. Especially if you expect any noticeable gains.........Phil

Maybe with your "M" you needed more than just a tune,,,however,,,they show, and I got a guarantee from Dinan that if I didn't like the tune,,they would flash it back to stock,,,,BTW they say I will get 96HP and 103lb-ft.
sounds like a good deal,,,,,it really doesn't seem that far fetched to expect those type of gains with a tt....that would make it..

You are correct.....a stand alone tune on a turbo is a different beast. We NA gearheads have to do a little more for fun ..............Phil

I got my LUX units today. I have seen the new X5 LED's in person and they are indeed quite bright and brighter than the LUX. But that being said they are still nice. I took some before and after photos. It's hard for the camera to do them justice...but the rings are brighter than stock. (sorry photos are crappy). I had some trouble with the connectors at first and the lights not working but got that resolved.

I've yet to see a successful OEM retro fit. In the mean time I have the Racing Dash LED Conversion for your E70 available HERE. Below is a side by side of the OEM vs the Racing Dash LED.
