bmw assist

If I don't renew after the automatic 4-year subscription, what can I do about some of the benefits such as remote door unlock and stolen vehicle recovery? I can't imagine they would straight up deny you - is there a per-use fee perhaps? $200 for a year is steep for a service I haven't used once in 4 years.

BTW, has anyone successfully gotten their insurance premium lowered with the included stolen vehicle recovery coverage (lojack)?

Search ain't working at all at the moment.

i think you are stuck with the $199 per year Bro.

i pay $220 for a Suburban that sits in the backyard most of the year but makes the occassional trip with wife & kid towing the horse trailer. that $200 if you believe the OnStar commercials might get an EMT there quicker.

i don't carry it on my vehicle. it's all about priorities and risk i suppose.

I didn't even turn it on.

Has an E70 ever been stolen? Curious about that actually...

I shopped around a bit when I got my car and I asked about an insurance discount. Geico and progressive both told me that there is no discount for he BMW stolen vehicle recovery.

I got discount from State Farm - I was told it was similar to LoJack discounts. Your best bet is to call your insurance and to call BMW assist to find out what they will and will not do... If you could post what you find out, it would be great!

I guess it varies from state to state. After reading your post I Called Geico again and they said that I am not eligible for the discount in NY unless I have lojac. They mentioned another service like Lojac but I forget what it was called.
