Does the lemon law apply to second hand buyers from non BMW dealers but still under factory warranty? Luckily mine has still been operating correctly since last fix. My bill was over 10000 covered.

Based on the text I quoted from the 2010 warranty, the do NOT exclude a lemon branded title... Only a 'total loss'.

Folks should recognize that how they come to BUY the car does not change the terms of the new car warranty.

One caveat. A car with a cop will retain the cpo if sold privately or via a nonBMW dealer...however, if a BMW dealer sells it the cpo is stripped. The selling dealer must reenroll (and pay) to extend the cpo
