The install for the lights is pretty simple, there are 3 bolts holding each outer light. Remove those, and unclip the harness and you are done. For the trunk lid lights, you need to loosen the lower part of the inner cover. Its all held on using snaps. Once you have access to the trunk lid lights, loosen one bolt. This will allow you to squeeze the locking clip releasing the lights. Installation is the reverse of what you did

For the coding, You will need to modify your FA (Vehicle order). You need to add +MUEH to the FA in CAS and FRM. You can follow the instructions http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1312021107

Once you have done that, you need to code your FRM using the Expert Profile in NCS Expert (which doesn't allow .man manipulation files). This step codes the module so that it knows you are running the LCI tail lights and it disables the brake light out warning. This will reset your FRM and any coding which you previously had in that module, you will need to redo.

As an aside, my old tail lights are for sale http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=600795
Any chance the old tail lights are still available? Ill send a PM as well.

Cheers!

All this takes 10 minutes or less if you have coded before.
Hi can you please clarify what you mean by coding the module? I have successfully coded several features like digital speed and auto fold mirror so i have experience. Just not sure what to do here. You mentioned in another post:

When you coded those modules, you used a profile in NCSExpert, you used a profile that allowed maniputlation. When you first open NCSExpert, use the expert profile which does not allow manipulation. The code the module the same way (Sgcoderein)

INPA

Can someone please help me install INPA, EDIBABAS and NCS Expert? I have multiple versions I can't seem to get working. ;( I uninstall all the old files, try new versions but get "versions don't match" type errors. It works for reading certain components but not for what I'm trying to fix. I am trying to register a new battery and code my 2008 X5 4.8i for the LCI tail lights. I'm open to team viewer or Radmin for the setup to make things easy if someone can please help! Thanks a million. Email is [email protected]

Thank you.
