Those lights are for the rear fogs. Since we never got the rear foglight switch, the only way to activate them is to brake hard enough to activate ABS. Then they will come on. Its part of the adaptive brake lights system

So you took 40 minutes? Beat me by 5........

Want to use that "extra bulb"

Here is a DIY thread to enable those rear fogs...

Sorry to dig up this thread, I've recently purchased a cable to get rid of the LCI taillights errors.

Do you really need to change the FA order? Could I just search for warm and cold test values for the brakes / rear turn signals and set them to nicht_aktiv.

Once you've changed the VO with +MUEB, which options are you required to disable? Do you have the list of options?

Many thanks
Leon

Wanted to do the LCI retrofit on my 2010 E70 - called the dealer to order the parts however they said it was not available. Showed them that it could be purchased online in the USA and asked for them to look into it.

They came back and said that it's not available in Canada due to the coding and that no dealer in Canada could do it - doesn't sound right to me, has anyone else run into this issue or got the retrofit done at a dealer?

Cheers

It appears you're dealership may not be interested in changing them.
My dealer wants to charge 2hrs. for programming + the cost for the lights. They never told me last week that they will not retrofit them on my 2010.
