Tekonsha Wireless - BMW not powering the brake pin

OK, so I had no problem mating the Tekonsha to the car/trailer but BMW doesn't power the brake pin on the 7 way. How are people powering the brakes to the trailer?
Is this a dealer install issue? The green/yellow lead should have been tied to a 12volt power source.
