Air suspensions noises

Hey guys, just wondering if this happens to anyone else. I own a 09x5. When i unlock the car using the remote, i could hear the suspensions releasing air. Kinda like when the bus releases it front suspension so people can get on easier. I dont notice any significant changes in height though. Is this common for you guys?

I don't have air suspension and my car makes a similar noise when unlocking.

Really? I thought all e70 came with self leveling air suspensions. I must be wrong. Anyway, anything I should be worried about? You don't seem too concern Xtony.

Do you have a Turbo? the most common noise you will hear on a 3.0 Turbo is the fuel pump prime. All I need to do is get close to my 335 or X5 with the key and the cars will sometimes prime the fuel system.

I have had the self leveling suspension leveling the car when the family gets out and the car is off. Mine does not sound like an air leak but sounds like the compressor is kicking on.

What is really fun is changing my winter and summer sets. The self leveling suspension starts going nuts when I jack the car up. By the time I am done, the car looks like it is on stilts.

Our car has 3rd row seat with air suspenstion.

Once the car has been parked a while, if there is any activity to the car such as remote pressed/door opened/tailgate opened. We can hear the sound from air suspension, but more likely compressing the air to raise the car not releasing air.

My understanding the air is released in standby mode, but any activity will wake up the car compressing air to air suspension and car will be raised, the car is put back to driving mode.
