I call the insurance and the girl told me to fax them the quote from BMW, I already did, she was going to look and check whats the amount the insurance can cover, first claim in 6 years sorry

Your policy has no dollar limits on the windshield (or any other part)- it says "we will pay to repair your car". Now your issue is coming to agreement on what it should cost. They don't TELL you, you NEGOTIATE the amount.

If have not heard of a major insurance company handling glass claims like this...strange. They usually have a captive auto glass process.
