Aren't some 3's made in China??
There is a 3er long-wheelbase version that is specific to China. There was, and continues to also be a 5er long-wheel base (E60 and F10) that is also specific to China. These vehicles are assembled in China for the Chinese market only.

All X5s, the F25 X3, E85 Z4, and some earlier E36s are/were assembled in Spartanburg.

I highly recommend doing PCD if you can. It may not be as glamourous as European delivery for German cars (Audi, BMW, VW in Europe) but it's still good fun. Plus, your tourism revenue helps the Upstate
