X5 3.5d Extended Warranty ? Electronics

I'm nearing the end of my 80K full warranty service. In general, love the X5 3.5d. Great torque, superb weekend vehicle to haul stuff and just drive long distances.

I would like to keep this vehicle for a long time, and wondering about what to expect in those years 5 - 10 and beyond.

The X5 seems solid, and I've read great things about longevity.

My only issue is the electronics. I've had annoying events with failed electronics; warning that hood is open (it isn't), warning the diesel exhaust fluid is low (it isn't), and I've even had a voice activation kick in mid sequence asking me to confirm.

Concerned that these issues may now be costly in the future. Any thoughts or experiences in this area ?
