unbelievable how expensive these cars are now. i bought my 04 x5 for 53k brand new, now they are over 70k, geez

so im in the market for an 09 or maybe a 10 cpo for no more than 45k. i have read that the dvd changer on the 09s play movies in park or while driving if coded. can anyone comment on the video quality. this is a must for the wife to be a happy passenger on long trips. i have only test driven 3 x5s so far and it seems like the rattles are still around. my 04 had a ton... also 2 of the 3 msports i drove had a rattle coming from the driver side front, seems suspension related. is that a problem area on this model?

any info is appreciated. just need to find the right one so i can start the mods. great site btw

If you want to play DVD's on the iDrive then you need to buy the LCI X5, late 2010 -2011 model, you can pick it by the extra buttons around the controller knob, then recode it to play while in motion.

Buy my 2007 4.8 with only 53k on the clock and another year left of CPO and save 10k.

well, i picked it up monday. beautiful 09, tit silver 48i msport with 37000 miles. nappa(leather dash ftw!), premium, tech, sound, cold weather, active steering, hud, comfort access, even has the spare tire. 6 hr ride out in a ford escape rental, which was actually pretty nice. came back in the bimmer. ill post some pics up soon.

lol @ "tit silver" - haven't heard that one yet. Congrats on the pick up. Napa leather comes with the leather dash? Must have been only in models later than 2007. Or perhaps an option, or part of the M-Sport package? My 07 4.8 is loaded, including Napa leather, and I don't have a leather dash.

Although, I'm not a huge fan of it in the X5's anyway. In a Cayenne, it looks nice, though. But that's me; glad you like 'er!
