If your worried about weight & performance drop back to 19" wheels or even 18", it take alot more power to drive 20" wheels.
I didn't say I was worried about weight and performance. I just asked a simple question: doe is it add a lot of weight? Do you know how much weight AD adds?

It would not be anymore than 9-15lbs, the shocks are alittle heavier, the swaybars being electronic/hydraulic would weigh 2-4lbs more each, plus wiring, sensors etc.

BMW uses alot of aloys in the X5 rather than steel components, if you get the M-Sport version the plastic side skirts and front & rear bumpers are lighter than the standard model ones.

Are you getting a V8 or diesel model?

This is a very easy choice?

When it comes to resale, there are two X5's on the lot, one with AD, one without. (now you know you don't get much extra on a trade even if your car has extra options)

Price difference on the lot maybe only $1,000 but the AD X5 will sell first, and you will always pick a X5 with AD, so when it comes time to sell you may only get an extra $1,000 but it will be easier to trade.

AD used to come as standard on the M-Sport model now its an optional extra so there are less around.

Once you have a X5 with AD you will always buy another one with it?

PS. I drive every second weekend on the beach to my beach house (no road) and when the beach is all chopped up & fluffy AD comes into its own, the body is kept stable & level and the suspension does all the work, you are not being thrown all around the cabin like a normal 4x4 is on the beach, I rally up the beach at full tide, its great?

You will be very happy with AD, you know you have to move forward, you cannot be stuck in a BC X5, times move on

Got Mine finally

Brand New from Shelley BMW in Buena Park Ca
There were offering up to 15% MSRP on there website for 2012's and 2013's
Had 56 miles on the odometer wound up getting it for 12% off MSRP
i test drove the car 4 times over the last six months so ive basically put most of the miles on the car. LOL it was still there
so i jump from getting a pre owned 12 Msport w 9k miles to a new one for 4 k more.
Axel Rodriguez was my CA.........Super nice guy, low key never pushed me one time in six months, never called. He just let me do my due diligence and then we came to terms right before the new year.
Passed on a another pristine space grey with 9k mile and all the same options plus technology package but no soft close...Which i absolutely could not live without! 2 little little kids need i say more. A sleeping baby versus seeing my MPH on the windshield is a no brainer for a new dad that prays for those kids to stay sleeping in the car!
Check it out. Here are the options.

Msport 5.0, Premium, Premium sound, Cold Weather, Comfort Seats, Space saver spare, soft close doors and bmw apps
Mods: Performance pedals and kidney grilles

Pretty neet how its in my garage right now!
Ps did not Get AD although i wish i did...bit of a rough ride.
just added BMW black kidney grilles today
