Suge, the 2011 50 is much faster and far more refined than my 2006 4.8is. Other than the engine, there may not be as much difference between your 2008 and the 2011. This is my third x5, I had a 2001 4.4, the 2006 4.8is, and now the 2011. Each has been a very dramatic improvement over the previous one. I just changed the run flat tires today to Conti DWS, and the ride is vastly improved. All in all, this is a wonderful vehicle.
