Gregg, do you still have two "keys" for the car?

Try the "other" key. Each key stores individualized preferences, and you may find the second key restores the beep and voice responses generated by the car.

Is so, you will then know the problem is in one of the stored settings, not the voice control system.

I found that too but, unfortunately I have purchased the car used and only with one key. (unless the bank has the other).

I wonder if I purchase a new key from the dealer; if that would work. Hmmmm........

separate from the sound issue, it is a good idea to have a second key...

So... to bring the post from the dead..., None of these suggestions have worked.


The last check I did is at an independent local BMW shop and we find out that we can not connect to the NAV module.


So in brief, there is no voice from Nav or the announcer.


Now to troubleshoot that part.
