Nuance Dragon Drive - Message Dictation
I think you have to be a subscriber before the feature can be enabled. I was wondering two things: 1 - The feature is available in other model BMWs so has anyone ever seen the feature in use or gotten a chance to try it out?I think for the 2014MY vehicle, the Infotainment System will be a new system with many new features but the matrix attached which I downloaded from BMW USA's web site doesn't show what's coming. I'd like to have the Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information (ARTTI) System and if they'd get their act together and enable weather like our smart phones already have available, that would be even better. I'm anxious to hear if anyone has tried the Nuance system and has any feedback regarding how well it works. It seems kind of cumbersome to have to say 'comma', or 'exclamation point', or 'new paragraph' or 'period'. Doing so adds a whole new dimension to 'texting and driving' and I'm not sure I think this is any safer than someone fiddling around with a hand held device with Siri or other voice rec implementations. It's disappointing that the Infotainment Systems are so far behind hand held devices, even with this Nuance feature.
