Can someone help me?!!!!

I replaced my rear self level airbags in early June. Mine were crippled on one side and thrashed to the cords on the other. Install of new bags was done blind by me and was uneventful for the most part. Car has been fine since. As i'm pulling onto my street this evening BOTH go flat. No pop, no noise, no warnings, no lights.....basically the X5 suddenly feels like a stagecoach. I pull in my garage and sure enough the ass of the vehicle is flat. It's like 101 out so I go inside and tell my wife then change clothes and go back out. I had to start the vehicle to get the compressor to come on, and I hear air (leaking?) from the pass side rear wheel and nothing from the driver side, no lifting occurring as compressor is running. I shut it down and started this post.

WTF happened? All I can do is yank the wheels and investigate but both? Simultaneously? Oh my god it's hot.....

if the compressor is running, it should pump air... if the system is not sealed, then you might hear air escaping somewhere... unless a gap is so huge, that you only hear the compressor and not escaping air... if there is a valve or a clip or something - it might have come loose... check your airtubes, the airlines...

My thought exactly but why won't the other side inflate?

i would think that the break in the air line that is common to both sides... so, in that case, it has to be closer to the air tank, or the compressor itself, before the air splits into two independent tubes...

I've traced it before with all the bottom fairings off and IIRC its two distinct red and blue poly lines from the compressor tee. I'm 99.9% certain......whatever it is its friggin' weird. I still have my Cayenne for a road trip tomorrow to HOU but I hate working without a lift in the heat. Oh mosquitoes galore as well. On a positive note my tranny pan is not leaking nor is the mechatronix sleeve as BMW stated BOTH needed replacing. My Indy made a house call and was like " total BS, unnecessary..."

Dodge one bullet and ya catch another. Now that I recall I did not use the new valves from the new bags, nor the "hats" that came with. I guess nows my chance for new everything.....

Yanked the hissy side wheel and the bag twisted somehow as the install went fine previously but nevertheless it's twisted and the rotor dust shield sliced the bag like a razor blade. I have no idea how it twisted so long after the fact.....FCK! Looking for a part now.....

I had to reinstall wheel to back into garage until parts arrive. Bought from the same supplier genuine parts 212 bucks apiece. Free shipping. So, there's really not much to see except the car sitting there, hopefully not screwing up anything but with a dead airbag it's the same thing as being gone.

Parts arrived today and install was quick though this bag was the toughest to seat FWIW....took the car for a spin and all seems to be in order. I was looking at the removed air bag and the cut on it is razor perfect. Wonder what cut it? You'd have to know your shit and reach way up in there to sabotage one of these...maybe road debris that was super sharp? I'm paranoid, sorry.....kept garage closed and cool with a fan running.......no skeeters!
