Washer Pump Replacement Help Needed
I have removed the wheel protectors and I can see the fluid container and the pumps. The leak is clearly coming from one of the pumps. I am just not sure I have enough room to pull the pump out and replace it without removing the front panel. I also don't see how I can remove the fluid container without removing the front corner panel either. Anyone done this before have any suggestions/hints or am I simply left with pulling the panel. Thanks, DJ

If anyone is wondering this job for me was a pain. I could not figure out how to replace the leaking and defective window washer pump without removing the front passenger side quarter panel. The washer fluid tank is actually attached to the front panel and I don't think you could remove the pumps without taking the quarter panel off.
So I spent the day tearing the quarter panel off. In doing so I removed the wheel liners, lower front bumper cover, and the running board just to get the quarter panel off. Once I got everything torn apart it was very apparent that one of my pumps was defective and leaking to boot. I replace both the windshield and the rear window pump while I was there. I have the headlight nozzles as well but that pump seemed to be working just fine so I left it. What a pain but I got it done. Took almost all day but no more leaking.

TIS says you don't have to completely remove the fender, but you have to unbolt at bottom and trailing edge (door jamb) to be able to pull the bottom of the fender out (fenders are plastic, so should not damage fender) far enough to make adequate clearance to remove the fluid reservoir. Of course there are all the steps necessary to be able to pull the lower fender out like removing wheel arch, rocker trim, etc. What a pain for sure.

Just had mine done as well. Done at a indepenent garage it took him all day replacing 2 pumps and $450 later. This is sad that such a expensive well built car would have this go bad. The warrenty was over a month before spewing the stinky washer fluid all over my garage. I tried to fix it myself but there was no way to get to the tank or pump with taking out the inner fender.

Thanks David. Sounds like the TIS instructions may have saved me a little time but not much. Also without a good diagram it instructions it would have been difficult to see what is securing the water container to the front quarter panel.
