I weighed my x35d last week with a 7/8 tank. 5060 pounds.

How did you weight? One wheel at a time?
I am curious about weight distribution for each wheel on diesel X5. Petrol version claims something close to 50/50, but diesel engine is heavier. Wonder how much more weight goes to front wheels..

That is for longblocks only,but gives an idea of the weights:

11 00 0 446 764-M57N2 diesel 130 kg 286.6 lb

11 00 2 211 389-N55 6 cylinder gas 130.2 kg 287 lb

11 00 2 296 769-N63B44 V8 gas 162 kg 357.1 lb

Unlike other manufacturers BMW is making aluminum bloxk diesel for almost 10 years now,and obviously,with huge success.

That's interesting, the diesel engine same weight as petrol. I have read somewhere a review that stated diesel engine was heavier by a few dozen pounds. I guess can't trust those reviews!

Truck stop scale. It's right by my house.

I could do front wheels then just the back if you want.
