I thought about that too but the carfax doesn't list any accidents and if it was in one there doesn't seem like any body damage was done. I checked the car over the other day and if there was body damage, whoever fixed it did a fantastic job because there isn't a single trace of it. Not a single mark on the unibody like it's been pulled bad into place and the fenders don't look like they have been removed.

I got it from a dealer lot so I doubt I'll ever find out why they only replaced the one but not the other. Either way it was one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. When it comes to brakes I don't play games and it's the one things I check 3 to 4 times when I'm working on them for mistakes. I really am shocked the car didn't pull to the right when braking. Even my indy said the same thing.

So the car is in the hand of my indy and we called BMW to find a caliper and bracket only to find them completely useless. They keep telling us the X6 never came with a dual caliper but when I search online I am able to find it. They even have the same casting numbers on it.

Amazon.com: Centric 141.34112 Front Brake Caliper: Automotive

Front Left Unloaded Rebuilt Brake Caliper BMW X5 X6 141.34112 [141.34112] - $72.00 : Auto Brake Center, Brake Pads, Rotors, All Cars, All Models, Free Local Delivery in Los Angeles, CA

Anyone have any clue where I might locate the bracket?
Any change the stock bracket is compatible? I didn't really look at them I just assumed the dual piston caliper wouldn't work. Yeah that is just wishful thinking.

PAX5 is on a distinguished road
Go back to stock ... readily available second hand (you only need one side, right?) ... same braking power .... sell dual piston caliper and get mega bucks for it.
