It is... coupes are generally longer than their sedan counterparts.

E92 is longer than E90...

E92 is longer than E90...
While that may be true of the total length of the car. The wheel base of the E92 is 2760 cm, which is the same as it is on the E90.

The point I am trying to make though, is why does the X6 have to be any longer than the X5, if it supposed to be its sporting counterpart?

The X5 is already pretty big in my opinion & the X6 isn't going to have the 7 seats... so why longer ?!
