It looks better in the metal, but even then its a difficult car to look at and understand. You need to see it in 3D or it doesn't always work, but I'm not joking in saying that it was the most popular car on BMW's extensive display (and they had every car in the range on show). It was constantly being examined by other industry execs, photgraphed, sat-in etc.
One thing I'm not sure I look forward to is that it's going to draw masses of attention when I first drive it on the road. Now I love the X5, but one thing I wasn't expecting is that the X5 looked almost redundant sitting nearby, as if it was suddenly out of date.
