MPG figure is imperial, not US gallons. You can tell because the US doesn't worry about CO2 emissions like Europe does, focusing instead on NOX. Also, 306 hp is the UK rating, a different measurement standard than the 300 hp US rating.

my mistake then, the users I mentioned reporting good numbers were also in the UK. I wonder will they be bringing a diesel version to the U.S.?
