dzoka-

you DO NOT need this. You have ANALOG DSP, stock on 2003- and newer.

The module listed here is from 99-2002 DSP systems.

you need the BMW AUX in adapter -- chose the one for NAV or NON-NAV depending on whether or not you have NAV.

DSP AUX in and DSP DIGITAL COAX adapter are TWO DIFFERENT BEASTS.

The DIGITAL COAX DSP kit is ONLY for DSP 2002 and previous models and will REPLACE THE CD CHANGER with the RCA (or DIGITAL COAX) in. (you don't need the adapter if you are connecting the unit to a DIGITAL COAX (not fiberoptic) source. the blitzsafe adapter does two things:

1) emulates the CD changer and lets the radio system know that a 'CD CHANGER' equivalent is present in the system

2) allows you to control the device it was designed for (usually alpine platform) (ie alpine CD changer) with the headunit or steering controls. if you do not have a device that emulates the above (ie PHATBOX) your controls are useless.
