2006 X5 4.8is Imola Red 64K MILES
2006 X5 4.8is Imola red/Nappa Black 64k miles(will slowly go up) Has all available packages that I know of other than factory towing pkg. So cold weather pkg+premium? Located in northern NJ No shipping available but can meet for the right price Mods: I've swapped the air suspension for BC coils(great choice fyi) but still have all air components H&R DRA spacers 30mm rear/25mm front See? Simple enough Recent maintenance: I've installed a brand new battery Recently had the car detailed and paint sealed Headlight restoration Rear brakes (Very minor stuff) Unlike many others I've seen mine has zero trans issues, ZERO oil leaks and no other problems I have yet to find( mechanic owned) The x5 is in very respectable condition all things considered. Interior i would give a 8/10, passenger and rear seat are near new, drivers seat has minor wear. Some door trims are cracked in spots as almost all are. As well as the nav screen have 3 small spots on it( also very common) though still works flawlessly. Exterior I would rate 7/10. Minor rock chips here and there though all in all very clean and presentable.(can have full paint correction/ceramic done prior to sale if requested at an additional price). While the wheels show some curb rash on the fronts, the rears are in great shape. Tires have life left also. Now the hard part. Being as this is quite possibly the lowest mileage 4.8is on the market I have very little to compare to. Any enthusiasts out there please chime in if im being insane here. I'd like to start the price at (PRICE DROP)$20,500. Offering a $500 finders fee if someone were to find me a buyer close to my asking price. I have no absolute need to sell but I would like to see it go to a legitimate enthusiast who will make it perfect. I am open to offers but let's be respectful here. Thanks in advance, any other questions just go ahead. Message me on here or text me at 908-9one4-125four Last edited by Singapore6; 08-27-2020 at 09:11 PM. |

Nice truck! Good luck with the sale. Price is pretty ambitious for the forums though.
Bring a trailer or cars and bids might bring you closer to your asking.

Your price is going to leave you looking for a buyer for a loooooong time. Not that it's an unreasonable price. Just that the market for 15 year old BMW SUVs that are maintenance hogs is a small one to begin with. Have the valve stem seals been done? Then add the premium you're asking for low mileage. It'll be awhile.
Have you looked into those auction sites? Still probably your best bet.

Ambitious price? Perhaps, but other than auction sites, no one has offered OP an alternative so here goes...
For your ambitious price to find the right buyer, the truck should be perfect and have no needs—I.e. Replace the cracked trim pieces, do the paint correction, and refinish the wheels. There is not much you can do about the drivers seat wear, so don’t dwell on it. Same with the spots in the nav screen. Just let it speak for itself or consider replacing the head unit with a Dynavin or Eonon unit for a few $$$. You don't mention anything about winter driving, but for NE car, that will be a consideration for someone looking for perfection. Did the X5 originate in a western or southern state? If so, highlight that. If not, then you need to talk about “limited winter duty” or other language that tells buyers it has not spent a lot of time slogging through salt-laden roads. (Unless of course it has spent some time in salt and has the underside to prove it, then knock at least $4-5k off your “perfection“ asking price.) You might have to spend a couple thousand to make it perfect, but that is your best chance to get full asking price. For an enthusiast who is not afraid to do this work him/herself, their DIY labor is what will attract them to this X5. Assuming no underside rust issues, I would think that $15k would be an attractive price for the truck as-is. My $.02....Good Luck!

I'll add a couple things to get closer to your asking. Buy a new set of OE floor mats. Unless you have them, they are missing in the pictures. Replace the nav screen. Take close up pictures of the curb rash. And as requested get some under carriage pictures. In addition to the tow package it's missing the running boards. There was a ~45,000 mile one that recently sold on BaT for $27000 I think it was? Highest I've seen for sure. It also had a few flaws and was not perfect. Just an FYI to give you some hope of getting $20k for yours. Good luck.
