Hi Phil...

have a 05 X5 with 25K over the wknd, my kids had sun tan lotion on their arms which rubbed onto to the leather and the fake leather on the door... my door color is black but the lotion marks has left blueish spots... what would you recommend to use to get this out ??? thanks

detailersdomain 08-12-2008 12:15 PM

here you go:

Products used in the interior:
Leather Master Rapid S (leather cleaner)
Leather Master Vital (Conditioner)
Einszett Cockpit

The interior for this M5 was for lack of better words shot, dust everywhere and sun block all over the door panels and front leather seats. We cleaned up all the leather with Leather Master Rapid S and conditioned them with Leather Master Vital. All the plastic trim with cleaned up and protected with Einszett Cockpit.

Hey phil i have notice that you guys use a pressure washer when you detail cars, but i was wondering what psi do you set the pressure to, so it does not create swirls or damamge the paint? Or is it a specific type of wand/trigger you use? thanks

detailersdomain 08-26-2008 12:35 AM

we use this machine its rated at 1500 psi.

its a commercial grade machine, we broke 4 Karchers this year its just can't handle what we do.

Cam spray

mrc1utch 08-26-2008 07:24 AM

i am still a bit confused. Under specs for the cam spray it says it is adjustable pressure, do you guys keep it at a full 1500psi or lower it? thanks

detailersdomain 09-02-2008 12:58 AM

yes I do keep it at 1500 psi.

Leather & Seatbelt Q's

4 Attachment(s)
Hi Phil,
Could u pls help me with a couple of issues? I have only owned my X for a couple of months and intend to detail from tip to tail.

Leather
Not being an expert in leather could u tell me from the pics if i have real leather or is it leatherette? My understanding via other info on X5world (options) is that an '02 3.0i came standard with leatherette or Montana leather as an option.
I don't believe the leather (or leatherette) plus the seatbelts have been cleaned/detailed properly for some time, if ever. I intend to use 'Leatherique' which i believe is a worthy product.

Seatbelts
What would be the best product to clean the seatbelts without harming the integrity of the webbing. They are in a word, filthy.

In advance, thankyou.

Foomph
