Unhappy Bluetooth problem - X5 Euro?

A warm greeting everyone,
I tried to pair more than one cell phone using the procedure described http://www.bmwmotorsports.org/pdf/841304.pdf and follow your suggestion, but after
"Press & hold the button above the storage compartment, then after about 3 seconds, turn the ignition key to position 1 and release the button after approximately 3 seconds.:" ..... I insert the passkey but:
“BLUETOOTH PAIRING” didn't appears on the display or monitor!!!!
There are differences in the x5 Europe version? Probably I' am wrong?

Consider that my x5 have already a BT phone installed by Bmw
Any help will be appreciate.
thanks.

What year is your X5?

A suggestion is to hold it down for a bit longer than 3 seconds (try 7 to 10 seconds).

Biggest issue is GROUNDING ISSUE on the pairing button. Check with a multimeter if the BROWN pin in the eject box has a good ground. The button needs ground to function properly.

If no continuity on the BROWN pin to chassis ground, you will need to somehow ground that brown wire to the chassis.

Pairing buttons do go bad. The good thing is that they are easy to replace with a new eject box.
