same thing has just happened to me cant pair any of my phones anymore treo or v3i and sos and assist does not work ion my 06 should i make a service appointment or is there something else i can do?

nahh, you have to take it in. In my case they replaced the box and it all worked fine afterwards. These things seem to be a bit fragile.

Bad news. Had mine in for A WEEK and they reprogrammed the TCM and messed around. It worked when I left and broke again two weeks later. Now they want it back for another multiple day visit. BMW is lousy at dealing with this problem.
