I picked up my 2005 325cic in April 05. Back when I ordered it I had no idea about how the assist module had built in bluetooth functionality.
After I recieved my vehicle I learned about the module and decided it was something I MUST HAVE! I purchased the assist/bluetooth module, antenna, antenna bracket and module bracket from BMW parts.
Today I finally had the foreman @ my BMW dealer sucessfully get it going ( took less than an hr ). My previous try with a regular tech was unsucessful! This foreman knew exactly what he was doing. He had to enter codes 639 and 633L into my car. If you go and have your vehicle done and mention these codes and get looked at like you have two faces, find someone who knows what they mean!
After my phone (V710 verizon with 1.40OR firmware) found the module, I entered my passkey. The phone book was transfered instantly. Though I heard it could take 45 minutes. The one thing weird with the phone book right now is it doesnt differentiate the entries. I dont know which are home, mobile, etc. I might rename them!
So while sitting in my car I decided to hold done the voice button on the steering wheel, and viola it beeps. After the beep it says "these are your available commands, please refer to the book for more" . COOL
Well this is it for now. If anyone has any tips, speak to me!
