I had problems pairing my blackberry. Dealer said it was impossible yet i did it and it works. Delete ie empty the cars phone memory first before pairing the new phone.

please help, anyone?

I have changed the phone, so the new phone has to be paired or I will be paying heavy fines for using the phone while driving.

ok, I think, there might be a hardware problem with the pairing button itself.

how do I open the armrest in order to follow the leads from the button to the ULF?

or can I force somehow the car into pairing mode?

Thanks in advance

There is an iBus command to initiate pairing mode, NavCoder has an option to send this command.

Everyone including BMW and their special phone/radio helpline told me that it wouldn't work with any other phone than a phone from their list. But my blackbery works.
If you have your Bluetooth pin number (it comes with the cars device).

Follow the instruction but first delete all devices two or three times to make sure the cars memory is empty. It is just a matter of not giving up.

Then pair the devices, your phone will recognize the BMW and ask you for the code, it will pair. than turn the car of and on and it should pair automatic. It will also set up your address book in the car. The problem is it doesn't update the phone book so new entries afterwords will mess up so you have to do it again.

good luck.

Ok, thank you Richard. I think that might be a solution. I never used NavCoder before.

Can anyone please take the time and explain (or direct to webpages where info can be found) how to do it?

Any help is appreciated

You need :

The NavCoder program NavCoder Website

A Resler iBus interface IBUS Interface for BMW cars

A PC that you can connect to the Resler iBus interface, if your laptop does not have a serial port (9 pin D) then get the USB version of the interface.

You'll need to register NavCoder for any of the BlueTooth options.

Connect the Resler interface to the car, usually the easiest place is the CD Changer 3 pin connector, and PC.

Run NavCoder, select 'Code' then 'Telephone' then select 'BT Pairing'.

great - thank you for the info!!!

i started to look into the problem today again and took a picture of wiring in the armrest:

DSC02141.JPG - Windows Live

I think I am have a cut o loose wire some where because on the charging terminals of the blackberry 8100 the voltage is 0 V.
that plus the fact that pairing button does not work, make me think that there is a hardware problem.

i really want to use the cradle, but do not where to start from when checking wires. if anyone have any experience on this please share it here.
