Question bluetooth pairing not working

hi, have the following issue and wonder if any of you came across it:

i have a BB 8820 paired and a nokia 6233 paired with my october 2004 e53

a couple of days ago i shut down the BT on BB 8820 cause i wanted to use nokia 6233 with the car.

the car did not connect to the nokia

i tried pairing again (i thought maybe the phone was deleted from the bmw ULF) but pairing message does not appear on the screen as it used before.

i looked into the nokia and BMW12345 is listed there as a paired device.
but there is no connection

when i switched BB8820 BT back on, it connected to BMW.

i really do not know why pressing pairing button has no effect at all anymore.

please help

I experienced similar on my Nokia 6310i, there was some setting on the phone's Bluetooth that prevented it - something to do with hiding the id of the phone.....but such a long time ago I can't remember exactly.

agree, the phone might cause some kind of the problem, but how can it prevent the car's BT from going into the pairing mode?

the car should go into the pairing mode no matter what BT devices are around it so any device can find it.

am i wrong?

Have you tried isolating the phones first, ie deleting them from the car's memory and then trying to pair.

that was the first thing i tried - but in order to delete phones one have to go all the way through the pairing, then press the pairing button for another 10 sec.

i cannot even start pairing process, let alone delete phones

If you have NavCoder (registered) and a Resler interface you could try initiating pairing from that instead of the button.
