e70 bmw assist

Hi Guys,
First post here - Just got a 07 x5 which was imported from the United Kingdom and I'm based in republic of Ireland.

The BMW Assist system is playing up since it can no longer communicate with bmw as it no longer has a data connection.

Any suggestions on how to stop the system reporting this error.

Can I get into a secret menu on the I-Drive and disable the BMW Assist Services myself?

Is there a SIM Card inserted into the TCU that can be removed?

Should I remove the assist module completely?

Thanks,
Alan
