I don't know anything about that device but If your using the aux input all you need to do is plug the 1/8 plug into the top of the iPOD/iPhone or the output of any any device. Turn the volumn up on the device and the volumn up on your radio and your good to go.
What's the name of that device and who is the MFG. Finally no software is required for similar devices on the market

Hey thanks for the reply. I included a link to the seller of the device in my post. I'd prefer to use it since it will give a line-out output which is far better than using the headphone jack and will allow my to adjust volume using just the radio, etc. I'm definitely missing something most likely on the software end since when I plug the iPhone into a speaker dock I also have the same problem.
